if you were a young brother in the late 60's you then remember the burden of the draft and the prospect of going to jail for refusing on religious grounds to be called up.
in those days we were taught that to do community service was conscientiously the same as joining the military and so we were told to refuse such exemptions.

JeffT: Yes many of my friends avoided the service, moved to Canada, wet on themselves,
one guy performed self-gratification at the induction center, a lot
of crazy stuff.I went and served of course I wasn't a JW. Today I'm glad I served.
So the JW weren't the only ones that tried getting out the service.

so we don't have to worry about demon attacks. We are not worth
the effort, but 8 million JW's are constantly under attack, in their
beds,from toys, movies, food, people, books, you name it they are
under attack. And you wonder why they are so panic stricken.
Hell I would be a nervous wreck also if I still believe that BS.

giving him his due, nothing new. Now all of a sudden a JC Convention about JC, well
it's about time. Please don't invite folks and tell them our convention will be
about JC this year, for the last 130 years we have been talking about the End is

a watcher: I'm not belittling you but I don't get it. I left because they were
not teaching the truth, they told me a lot of lies. If Jehovah is not directing
the organization by way of the GB, why stay. Yes your Convention is
all about Jesus, but when you pray is it ok to say in the name of Jesus I
offer this prayer, or is still the Anointed that can pray in Jesus name only????

Yesterday I was driving my sister home and on the main street there set two
elderly ladies at their JW stand. My sister ask "are they JW's". No
sign to indicate who they are. She said for the past few months I have
passed this stand and wondered who or what they were doing,
I have never seen anyone talking to them. That area , very few foot traffic.
Vidiot: we stood out side of the churches on Sunday morning, 1970's.
The scene when Malcolm X stood outside of the black Baptist church
talking with members as they exit the church, that's was us...
The message was the same, "We have the truth and I will show you why".
JW is the truth....
